"Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgement that something else is more important than fear.” -James Neil Hollingworth

"Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgement that something else is more important than fear.”  -James Neil Hollingworth

I think being courages is an awesome thing. This quote is perfect to describe what that means. Not having fear isn't possible for a human being, as much as someone says that they can love through life with no fears of anything just doing whatever they want, its not true.

Just because you have fear though, doesn't mean that people dont do things anyways. To me, thats a great way to live life. Not having to stop yourself from doing something that you absolutely love and want to do just because you're scared.. Now that to me is having courage.

If you go through your life thinking that something bad could happen so you better not do something.. Thats being a coward. To me, there is no point in not doing something because you are scared. You should make a difference and do it anyways.

Famous people all over the world are living proof that if you move past your fear, great things can come of it. If you let yourself overcome fear, who knows what you will become.

This world was made with many imperfections, but just because the world isn't perfect, doesn't mean we can't try our best to overcome the obsticales that are in our way to succeed in whatever it is we want to do.
Make The Difference.

It is not length of life, but depth of life. - Ralph Waldo Emerson

"It is not length of life, but depth of life. - Ralph Waldo Emerson"

I think that this quote says alot in just a few words. Living your life is one of the most important things to do, in my opinion.

When i say living your life, I don't mean just surviving day by day.. I mean going through each day like its your last and filling everyone moment of every second of it with something that is worth remembering.

If you go through your life just sliding by, when you get older you wont have things to look back at and remember. You won't be able to look back and feel proud and accomplished of the things that you did.

There could be someone that dies at the age of 20 and lived a better life than someone who died at the age of 90. The bigger the number of your age doesn't mean the greater your life has been.

Each and every single moment of your life time should be something that you can look back on, and remember doing it and the great times and happiness it brought to your life.

I'm not saying every moment of your life time is going to make you completely happy. With that being said however, I do believe that you should do everything in your power to try and make an effort to make the best out of everything that is put in your life.

As far as I'm concerned, you should be able to die satisfied with your life at any age, because if you live your life with purpose, then you should be looking back and being proud of what has gone on in your past.

No matter what bad is put in your life, you should grasp the good in what it as brought and cherish it.

Believe that you can and you're half way there. -Theodore Roosevelt

"Believe that you can and you're half way there." -Theodore Roosevelt

I believe that this quote is very true. I think believing in your own success is half of the success in its self. If you don't believe in your own accomplishments, then why should anyone else?

If you have dreams for yourself, and you strive to meet your goals and you believe yourself along the way, then you actually can have a chance because you think its possible.

Moving forward towards something you want, is alot easier then moving toward something you dont think is possible but your doing it to satisfy someone else.

Anything is possible if you put your mind to it, and believe that you can do it. This quote is most certainly not saying that doing something you want to do is going to be easy, but it is saying that if you think you can do something, the determination you have will be ten times greater.

I think that believeing in yourself is so beyond important. If you dont have faith and believe that you are capable of things, then whats the point? What is the point of going through each day thinking "Oh I cant do this, I cant do that."

The feeling of achievement is so great, and it makes you proud of yourself and think, "I knew I could do this."

When you think you are capable of something, then truely nothing can stop you as long as you don't let it. Believing in yourself is half the process of success.

Believing in yourself in my opionion is the biggest and most important key to success.

The reason people find it so hard to be happy is that they always see the past better than it was, the present worse than it is, and the future less resolved than it will be – Marcel Pagnol.

The reason people find it so hard to be happy is that they always see the past better than it was, the present worse than it is, and the future less resolved than it will be – Marcel Pagnol.

I think that this quote is a perfect description on the reason people are upset. I think it is saying that if people aren't as happy as they could be because they dwell on their past and make their preasent seem ten times worse then it really is.

If you look at life by what has happened in the past, you will miss out on so many different amazing opportunities. When your looking at the past people tend to look at the what ifs, what if they did this or what if they wouldnt of done that. Instead they should be saying, oh remember how we did this.. this is what made me such a strong person today.

When everyone is dwelling and wishing they would of done things different, they are missing out on both the amazing person they are now, and the things they could be doing now so that in the future when you look back you dont have even more what ifs.

If your upset about the past, then you wont be happy about what is going on now, and you will think that the future can't get any better because the preasent didn't. So why should you focus on the future when you already have messed up your past?

The future is your chance to change the things about yourself you dont like, and if you cant change them, then it is a chance for you to change the way you look at yourself and accept yourself with the baggage of the past, and move on to other things that can make you happy.

I think that this quote describes majority of the people in life now. Why dwell if you can change, if YOU can make the difference in what YOU have to offer? Why wait?

"Change your thoughts and you will change your world." - Norman Vincent Peale

"Change your thoughts and you will change your world." - Norman Vincent Peale

I think that this quote plays a huge role in life, especially to a younger crowd. Day by day people go through life making both big and small judgements on the people and things around them.

When you are judging everything that the world has to offer you are missing out on things that could be truely amazing. If you just look at something different, it could change your life.

If you look at a person and judge them by the way they look and what they are wearing, then you could be missing out on maybe being great friends with them. You may even be missing out on them sharing something with you that could change your entire life.

If you look at a journey you are planning to go on, and it looks to difficult so you don't go, you might have missed out on meeting someone special along the way, or even finding something that could change your life forever, but you would never know because you refused to go because it looked to difficult.

If you have an open mind about things then so much of your life could be different. You could have so many friends that you wouldn't of, you could have had so many more experiences and opportunities that you couldn't of, and you would be so much less quick to judge everything and everyone around you.

How come people in now a days are judged by the way they are dressed, where they live, how much money they have, or how big their house is? It's dumb.

Everyone should have an equal chance to fit in. If you changed the way you thought about things. then you could give yourself a much bigger view on life. Your world could be different if you let it.

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step – Lao Tzu.

"A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step – Lao Tzu."

I think that this quote is a perfect quote to live by. It is all about determination and looking at the big picture to see that all of the little things add up to become one big thing. Every Persons life is a journey.

There are so many different people that go through life not knowing how to get started doing something that you really want to do. The key to it is, you have to start somewhere.

You have to give to get, and if you give an effort to get something you want, chances are you will succeed. You dont necciarily have to do huge things to accomplish something that you really want, instead take little babysteps and before you know it. you will have gotten so much further then you even noticed.

Why would you want to miss out on all of the little things shooting for something big, when you could accomplish both? You could take every day one step at a time, and at the end of your life you will look back and realize you took millions of steps to get to where you were.

You could look back having enjoyed your life, instead of looking back and wishing that you would have gotten to do something.

Everything you do requires you to start somewhere whether its getting out of bed or winning an olypmic medal. With both situations you have to make some kind of effort to be able to get to the next step to achieve the main goal in the first place.

Over all, everything that you want to achieve needs to start somewhere, and little steps can add up.

Try to be like the turtle, at ease in your own shell -Bill Copeland

Try to be like the turtle, at ease in your own shell. - Bill Copeland

There are a lot of different ways that you could look at this quote. If you were to break down this quote it would be saying, a turtle lives in a shell and it is perfectly comftorable living like that day by day.

Every turtle is different and looks different, but thats what makes them an individual and makes them THEM.

Being yourself is the best thing you can be because there is only one of you. Why would you want to be someone else when there is noone else that is the same as you?

I think that you should embrace the fact that you are one of a kind and express it in whatever way you feel comftorable.

The people in this world can be cruel and make it hard to want to be your own person. Instead, everyone else is trying to be like everyone else and blend in but whats the point? what is the point of being like everyone else? Being a copy of someone around you is no where near as good as being you.

I feel that no matter what your appearance is, thick or thin, tall or short, pale or tan, black or white, it doesnt matter. You should feel as amazing about yourself as well as everyone else.

The most attractive thing a person can have is confidence, and if you are not comftorable in your own skin, and you dont act proud to be who you are, why should anyone else be proud of you and appreciate you?
